SPEECH

SPEECH AND PRESENTATION SKILLS

SPEAK WITH CONFIDENCE - CONNECT TO YOUR AUDIENCE - SHARE YOUR MESSAGE

An authentic speech comes from the heart. In our world of new and emerging technologies the art of communication often sits too prominently in the domain of the electronic and digital. Human to human connection has in many ways been replaced with the instantaneous exchange of emails, emojis and SMS. It's time for us to reconnect to authentic person to person interaction.

The place to start is to speak from the heart. Share your story, your passion, your message.

Our four session course will enable you to develop:

Confidence as a skill
Speaking authentically and from the heart
Embodied communication skills
Building relationship with your audience

The course culminates in the delivery of your speech to an audience of family, friends and fellow students in the Darlo Drama Studio Theatre

YOGA WITH ROMNEY

YOUR MIND IS A GARDEN, YOUR THOUGHTS ARE THE SEEDS, YOU CAN GROW FLOWERS OR YOU CAN GROW WEEDS

As cliched as it may sound, I became a yoga teacher during a difficult time in my life...struggling in a very toxic work environment which was taking over every aspect of my life and which was really affecting my mental health. My wonderfully supportive partner convinced me that perhaps the Yoga practice I loved so much could become more. It was one of those things I had never considered but it was kind of like a lightbulb moment! Becoming a yoga teacher has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. I am so grateful that I will forever be a student of this practice and so very grateful to be able to share the wonderful teachings with other people. Yoga means, "to yoke" and to yoke is to create union. I truely believe that a Yoga practice allows us the ability to create union within ourselves so that we can share that union with our friends, family, loved ones and the world around us.

We pride ourselves on welcoming all levels of Yoga practitioners, beginners, intermediate and advanced and practice a Hatha Vinyasa class. We start with a little meditation, move through a sequence that varies from week to week and always finish with a decent savasana.

Come join me on Saturday mornings for 9AM - 10AM. I look forward to meeting you on the mat!

CLASS COST IS $10 CASH ON THE DAY

You can BYO mat or we have mats you can borrow

Testimonial - John O'Neill "Romney's yoga classes not only reflect her deep knowledge of the practice and philosophy of yoga, it is evident that she lives by the knowledge she has acquired and also empowers her students with her insights. Very few people have the ability to teach and empower people with their training and knowledge, Romney is one of those few."
