Advanced acting course, Actors Process is a four week masterclass run by Glen Hamilton, a highly experienced acting teacher and director which is a further continuation from Actors Lab.
The focus of the course is the exploration of Laban’s Effort Actions, Michael Chekhov’s Psychological Gesture and a diagnostic approach on the student’s personal acting process.
Students work on a range of monologues and scenes in class, with individual guidance and feedback provided on areas such as; habitual acting tendencies, developing individual strengths, finding theatrical truth in a text, connecting personally to the work and diagnosing strengths and areas of development.
This course will equip the student with new craft techniques to build a robust personal acting process.
You must have completed ACTORS LAB to participate in Actors Process.
All students must be over 18 years of age at the start of the course.
If you have no prior experience we recommend starting with Level One, followed by Level Two and Three which all require attendance at one class per week for three hours at the same time each week. These courses will help to build your skills before participating in Actors Lab and Actors Process.
Level One – The Monologue (8 weeks + performance)
Level Two – The Scene (9 weeks + performance)
Level Three – The Story (10 weeks + performance)
Once you have completed Level One the subsequent Level's can be completed at any time. There is no obligation to complete all Levels but we do recommend not leaving too long in between to keep your momentum of learning going.
