I am an experienced educator in the community, vocational, and higher education sectors.
Through my role at AFTT, I have lead a team in the building of successful vocational Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in acting, seeing a large growth in student numbers over a period of five years. I have managed ASQA accreditation of vocational courses initially, and more recently I have achieved TEQSA accreditation of a higher education degree, Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting). The success of this degree has seen my current role expanding to lead the roll out of this degree in the JMC Academy campuses in Melbourne and Brisbane in 2022.
I am owner and Director at Darlo Drama, a community education business bringing performance and other lifestyle and personal development courses to adults in Sydney. Darlo Drama, as an acting company, has been in operation since 1992.
Glen’s expertise has been recognized by Bauer Media, through his invitation to judge the Most Outstanding awards for the TV Week Logie Awards, for the past five years. He has also accepted judging appointments with the Short and Sweet Festival, and Sydney Festival.
Glen Hamilton defines a successful career in the performing arts where the skills of performance, creativity and innovation are brought together to develop the actor not only as a versatile, dynamic and spirited performer, but as an artistic entrepreneur, able to claim their unique space in an exciting and challenging industry.
